Lily
Lily became a resident rabbit after she was unfortunately returned to us several times due to her aggression. The vets were able to establish that the cause of this was her health issues, specifically spinal problems.
Once she was given the correct medication, she became much calmer and now lives happily with her bunny friends, keeping their humans on their toes with lots of antics!
Autumn & Cheeky
Autumn (front) had respiratory issues when she was younger and we were unsure if she’d recover from these. She is now doing really well, and hasn’t had to have any treatment for her conditions for a while now.
Cheeky (back) came to us after his owner passed away. After being rehomed with another family, he became territorial and agressive, and so came back to us as a resident, and is now happily bonded with Autumn.
Dexie
Dexie is a lovely girl who came into rescue in her twilight years. For this reason she remains as a resident bunny. Her eye sight is deteriorating with age, but this doesn’t stop her from still enjoying her favourite things such as forage and dandelion root. Dexie receives excellent care from her foster humans and is truly spoilt every day.
Kill Bill & Bride of Bill
Kill Bill came into rescue with his brother a number of years ago; sadly his brother didn’t make it, as he was too poorly for us to make a difference to his quality of life. As you can see, Kill Bill has issues with his fur, it matts from the root and needs careful maintenance to ensure he isn’t in any discomfort and his mobility is not affected. Bride of Bill came into us with historical knuckle fractures which had healed badly on her right back foot. Two toes were removed when spayed and she married Kill Bill once post op and healed. She has always worried her remaining toes and the surrounding scar tissue and has always had her foot dressed and bound to deter her. Most recently her pain levels became a concern and her leg was removed as it was found to have unpleasantness growing within. Now her and her doting husband are happy and healthy regardless of their now quirky appearances.
Storm & Comet
Storm (right) & Comet (left) came into the rescue in October 2023 with their mum, dad, and 3 siblings after being found abandoned in a cardboard box with no food or water. With a lot of love and care, all 7 rabbits survived, and the other family members found their forever homes and new partners through RRNW. However, it became clear that Storm has some neurological issues, probably due to the neglect she experienced at the start of her life. These issues require ongoing vet care, but certainly don’t stop her enjoying her life and binkying around. She is closely bonded with her brother Comet: they love exploring together, munching hay, and chilling in their room.
Archie & Emma
Archie arrived in rescue in March 2023. He came into our care after his owner had passed away and he was left behind to fend for himself. Sadly, Archie arrived with a sore eye, a blocked tear duct, under weight and also requiring a dental. Unfortunately, he continues to battle an ongoing abscess on his cheek, and has bone disease in his face and no teeth on one side. In addition to this he also has a tear duct that no longer functions. Despite all this Archie loves nothing more than his food, toys and finding a comfy spot to have a snooze. He has now bonded with the lovely Emma, who was lonely following the sad loss of her previous husbun, Noah.
Phoenix & Marbles
Phoenix (left) came into the rescue with ulcers on her eyes. This required a lot of repetitive treatment, and she now has slight scarring on her eyes. Though this doesn’t bother her, she became a resident so we could keep watch of her and provide any treatment she will require in the future.
Phoenix was happily bonded with her husbun Twix, but at 11 he sadly passed over the rainbow bridge. Phoenix has now bonded with her new husbun Marbles, who was returned to the rescue after his owners had to move away. After being recently bereaved, he is very happy with his new wife Phoenix.
Oscar & Charlie
Delta was the first rabbit one of our fosterers took on, and unfortunately she ended up going to a home which resulted in her losing a leg. She came back to the rescue at the same time as her two sons, Oscar and Charlie.
Due to housing requirements for a tripod bunny, it was decided Delta become a resident with her sons to live out her days safely, and to keep the little family together. Delta managed fine until she passed over the rainbow bridge in 2024. Oscar and Charlie remain as two of our resident rabbits.
Lenny was originally adopted out by the rescue when he was just 6 months old after coming into the rescue with Mum and siblings. Sadly, Lenny was brought back at the age of 6, with his bun wife at the time, Georgie, through no fault of their own. Both had extremely overgrown nails causing sores to Lenny’s paws; he also started to show signs of possible arthritis in his back legs. After a few visits it was discovered he had a previous break or fracture to his back leg causing him to really struggle to get in and out of trays or use ramps. Unfortunately his partner Georgie died very unexpectedly, Lenny needed adapted housing to help his legs, and so he was made resident in his foster home. His foster family love him so much and he has the best human little sister to take care of him. Lenny loves his treat ball, comfy blankets and flopping near the fire in the winter.
Henry lives with his bunwife Alice who failed to find a home due to the fact she is really quite fearful and unfriendly with humans, her pet name is Feral Alice, and while she might not like me and I regularly get bitten, she adores Henry so that’s all that matters.
